Top Five Destination Engagement Session Locations | Destination Wedding Photographer

You're engaged, YAY! If you've booked your engagement session, one thing you'll want to start thinking about next are the locations for your session! You might have already checked out my Top Five Nashville Engagement Session Locations, but if you're looking for something a little more unique, this blog is all about my favorite destination locations for your engagement session!

1. Salt Flats in Utah

If you've ever been, you probably know that the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah are UNREAL. This location is absolutely breathtaking and almost feels like you left Earth and went to a much more magical place. I also love that you can make this a mini vacation and always suggest for my couples to stay in Salt Lake City, which is only about 1.5 hours away from the Salt Flats!

2. The Biltmore in Asheville, NC

There's no doubt The Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina is an absolutely beautiful location. Another bonus is that it isn't super busy around golden hour because the Biltmore House is usually closed by then, so you don't have to worry about editing people out of your photos! The property offers a ton of gorgeous, open spots to take your photos and you can't go wrong with any of them! I personally love a more dressy/fancy outfit in front of the house and if you want a second look, there's also a garden area that is super cute (but it does close fairly early!) If you're looking for a super classy and elevated engagement session, this is the perfect location for you. PS - you do have to pay an admission fee to get in!

3. Charleston, SC

Charleston, South Carolina is a super cute town and amazing place to have your engagement session! What I love most about Charleston is there is a super cute little pink car, The Pink Figgy, that you can rent for your session and they will park it wherever you want! There is also a pink mansion in Charleston that (in my opinion) is the PERFECT spot to park The Pink Figgy and take photos in front of! Another reason I love this location is because you're only about 20 minutes from the beach, so you can hop in the car for a quick drive and have a totally different look for the second half of your session!

4. Max Patch in North Carolina

The Max Patch is North Carolina is stunning and has the most INSANE mountain views! There is a little hike to get up to the photo worthy spot, but it's pretty moderate and as a non-hiker, I'm able to get up there just fine! You seriously can't take a bad photo here and it's absolutely gorgeous during the spring, summer, and fall!

5. The Oregon Coast

I have a few favorite spots within the Oregon Coast from beaches, overlooks, and more! This is perfect if you're going for the romantic, moody, beach vibes. The Oregon Coast is just beautiful in general and has so many great photo spots to offer!
